Customer keeps cloud transition on track with tailored independent support.
Thankfully for the customer, they had a connection that would lead them to the solution they had been searching for. They had been working with an Origina partner for their software support and as part of their advisory service, the customer’s license compliance position was assessed. With Broadcom offering them new contractual terms and ignoring the ‘OYR Option’’, the partner Account Manager assisted the customer with exploring other options. With the customer’s cost-saving concerns in mind, independent support options became a key focus in the search for support that could make a difference.The partner immediately introduced Origina as a solution to help reduce costs and provide technical support throughout the decommissioning process they were looking at across the next 3 years when migrating to the Cloud. Alongside Origina and the partner, the customer began defining the scope of products to be covered under an independent support arrangement, and they aligned this with their VMware roadmap and future requirements.
Their decision to make a change quickly began yielding the results they were looking for. The Origina offering covers a scope of several thousand CPUs across a variety of VMware solution areas, such as NSX, vSAN, Aria Suite, and a highly specialised enterprise automation solution. Of course, this was all underpinned by a considerable vSphere v7 & v8 estate, some of which was deployed on Dell VxRail appliances. The customer was guided through their VMware negotiation and they were given expert support and guidance to configure Origina’s support solution to fit their existing environment.
As part of the onboarding process, Origina held multiple onsite workshops with the leading travel-tech company to address any technical questions and security related concerns that they held in order to make them feel as comfortable as possible with their choice to change. There was also a discussion arranged with an external auditor to properly assess the solutions fit, which was passed successfully. Each and every one of the customer’s technical, security and compliance related questions were handled by Origina successfully and in record time. The customer was looking for support that helped them facilitate their plans and from day one Origina was able to provide them with the kind of partnership they were looking for.
